My Morning Routine – Autumn Edition Feat. FITVIA

Do I wake up energized every day?

Well, I naturally have a low blood pressure which has been hindering me from enjoying my early mornings in the past.

However, I have established a beautiful morning routine in the last months which has helped me wake up and get excited for the day ahead. Today I will present this routine to you!
As a self-employed blogger & influencer, I can get up whenever I want so I like to wake up without an alarm. Usually, I wake up at around 8 but every day is different. I admire people who wake up at the same time every day naturally but who knows… Perhaps one day I’ll be among the lucky early risers? 🙂
The morning I am describing here represents my IDEAL morning routine. Most of the days my mornings look like this but there are many other days when I sleep longer, skip workouts etc. We want this blog post to be kinda inspirational though, right?
So here it is:

My ideal morning routine. 😊

 7:30 am

I wake up naturally with a positive thought on my mind. I take a few minutes to reflect on my dreams and set an intention for the day. Then I grab my (glass) bottle filled with filtered water and take a few sips. By the way, I always wear my hair in a braid for the night because I have strong natural curls that don’t like to be brushed every day. 🙂

I grab my phone to reply to a few comments and messages on Instagram and prepare a post. Usually, I spend around 10-30 minutes on my phone before I do anything else. This ritual helps me adjust to the waking state and the excitement I get from Instagram actually helps me raise my low blood pressure to a more normal level. I love replying to all your kind messages so much! When I get up too fast in the morning I sometimes get dizzy and see stars. So I like to take it easy…
As soon as I feel mentally clear, I get up and do 100 jumping jacks. My jumping jacks are usually rather lazy so they’re more like normal jumps. This ritual helps me awaken my lymphatic system and metabolism.

8:00 am

After my bathroom routine (brushing teeth, scraping my tongue, rinsing my face 7x) I go to the kitchen to make some tea. I love to drink tea in the morning because I freeze a lot, especially during the first few hours of the day. I also find it easier and way more comfortable to drink a large batch of tea than to gulp down a bottle of cold water. I have at least 1-2 liters before my first meal.

Every day I drink a different tea from the “Happy New You” set by Fitvia. All of the teas are amazingly unique and very flavourful. When you order the whole set, which includes 8 teas, 3 mueslis, a pretty green bowl, a fancy tea bottle and an ice-tea, you can get almost 50% off the original price with the code happyfairy. This set also includes my favourite Fitvia tea – the “Inner Balance Tea”. This set is perfect if you want to try out all Fitvia products at once and convince yourself of the amazing quality. My favourite muesli is the tropical detox muesli but the high protein muesli is also quite nice, especially its macros! I’ve never seen a wholefood muesli with a higher protein content than this one before. It’s perfect for gym rats like me!

In a nutshell, all products I’ve tried so far were very tasty so I feel extremely lucky to collaborate with Fitvia!

My current favourite is the Inner Balance tea as I’m a huge fan of herbal teas. The taste is mild and earthy, perfect for cozy morning hours. When I drink this tea I feel a nice comforting warmth inside me that helps me balance out my dosha Vata (which is dry and cold by nature). Make sure to read more about ayurvedic doshas if you haven’t heard about them yet. Knowing my dosha has helped me understand my body’s signals so much.

The ingredients of my favourite tea are just natural herbs and you can actually see whole plant pieces inside the blend. This is what the ingredient list says: Valerian root, passion flower herb, lemon balm leaves, peppermint leaves, fennel, caraway, aniseed, rose hip peels, rosemary leaves, marigold blossoms.

Valerian root also aids with falling asleep more easily at night. I like to drink this tea at any time of the day but especially in the morning as it’s made from 100% natural ingredients which help detoxify your body and provide you with “empty nutrients” – the opposite of “empty calories” aka nutrients without calories. I LOVE TEA! ❤️

This is my personal favourite – the “Inner Balance Tea”

Unlike store-bought teas which are mainly dust (let’s face it, real tea should be made from whole pieces), all Fitvia teas are made from whole high-quality ingredients. Sometimes you find huge strawberry chunks or other pieces of fruit inside them such as inside the Super Fruit Detox Tea displayed below. 😊

This is the “Super Fruit Detox Tea”.

I like to drink this tea in the afternoon as a “dessert”. Its natural sweetness comes from the flowers and dried berries inside. Here’s what the ingredient list says: Apple bits, hibiscus blossoms, ginger bits, China Gunpowder green tea, flavouring, dandelion, beetroot bits, rose hip peels, nettle leaves, lemongrass, raspberries, strawberry bits (1.5 %), pomegranate seeds (1 %), cornflower blossoms.

It’s not just extremely pretty but also entirely natural except for the flavouring. I find that the flavourings in all Fitivia teas are rather mild and therefore complement the blends perfectly without making the teas taste artificial (like some cheap teas).

When I make tea, I add about 1-2 tsp of the blend to the little sieve that comes with the rose gold thermo bottle.

I screw the top part on and fill some boiling water into my bottle.

The cool thing about this bottle is that the tea cools down fast enough to drink it after 15 minutes but it keeps warm for longer than inside a regular cup. Extra benefit: You can take the bottle outside anytime if you can’t finish your tea in time. I also like to use my bottle at home because I am so clumsy I always leave tea stains everywhere when I drink from a cup.

8:30 am

While I drink about a liter of tea slowly, I check my to-do list and work on the prioritized items. Most of my important tasks involve using my laptop so I spend the morning in my room on my self-built standing desk (which is literally just a stool placed on my regular desk). Some of those tasks are boring bureaucracy or chores.

10:00 am

I make another cup of tea before I go to the gym and fill it into my gym bottle. I always drink tea at the gym because I find it much easier to drink a warm beverage when I workout.

11:30 am

After the gym, I go grocery shopping or take care of other important tasks that require me to leave the house. When I arrive at home, the first thing I do is take a shower.

I don’t go to the gym every day, so on the other days I go for a walk or run through the forest. Sometimes I stay at home and do yoga. I need to move in the morning to feel more balanced throughout the day. I found out about this when I started making regular workouts a routine. Move your body, guys! Your life will turn around 180 degrees and you will experience life at its fullest! 🙂

1:00 pm

My morning routine ends here since it’s already afternoon. My day continues differently every day depending on my tasks and planned activities. I usually eat my first meal between 1 pm and 2 pm. If you are curious about intermittent fasting, check out this blog post.
